BACK from PANAMA, but unfortunately - NO PICS! We had a camera, but we got caught in a TORRENTIAL downpour for over two hours as we climbed down the side of a mountain in a Panamanian JUNGLE in El Valle de Anton.

It seems that cameras don't like rain. Mine sure didn't. It doesn't take pics anymore, but it sure makes a great doorstop.



I was worried about Jyl falling off the side of the mountain, as it was very steep...so steep that if she did fall, she wouldn't have stopped until she hit bottom.



As it turns out, it was ME that I should have been worried about!

Our guide did not warn us that this particular hike in the mountains would be TOTALLY TREACHEROUS! I wasn't wearing proper hiking shoes, so when the rain started to really come down, I came down the mountainside, mostly on my backside!

The pic included with this post shows the mountain area in which we were climbing.

She doesn't know it, and wouldn't admit to it, or boast about it if she did, but Jyl is a natural born healer. She can heal souls.

I've seen it too many times to count. Felt it within myself.

She listens. Listens with her whole being, and by the listening, you are made whole.

People often ask me "Is Jyl really the way she is on the radio?"

What they are truly asking is "Is she really so full of life, joy, and positive energy?"

I can tell you...it is not something she is faking for the radio. You can't fake that kind of spirit.

As a natural born healer, she sees into your heart with her ears. She touches the broken place within you, and takes the pain.

This is why she hurts so much at times herself.

The answer is...a resounding YES!

There simply isn't an ounce of guile in Jyl's body. What you hear on the radio is pure Jyl. So many DJs put on an act when they open the microphone...you know...the "DJ Voice"...but not Jyl. She brings HER OWN SELF to the airwaves every night.

Jyl is without question, the most authentic person I know, and that is one of the reasons I love her so much!
