BACK from PANAMA, but unfortunately - NO PICS! We had a camera, but we got caught in a TORRENTIAL downpour for over two hours as we climbed down the side of a mountain in a Panamanian JUNGLE in El Valle de Anton.

It seems that cameras don't like rain. Mine sure didn't. It doesn't take pics anymore, but it sure makes a great doorstop.



I was worried about Jyl falling off the side of the mountain, as it was very steep...so steep that if she did fall, she wouldn't have stopped until she hit bottom.



As it turns out, it was ME that I should have been worried about!

Our guide did not warn us that this particular hike in the mountains would be TOTALLY TREACHEROUS! I wasn't wearing proper hiking shoes, so when the rain started to really come down, I came down the mountainside, mostly on my backside!
