As you may have heard, Jyl was layed-off from radio station 99.5 WYCD FM on 9 December 2008. This darned economy took away one of Detroit's most beloved voices in the night.
But...you can still hire Jyl to DJ your Wedding Reception, Office Party, or other private event.

I miss Jyl so much. Back when I lived in Michigan, I listened to WYCD all the time, and Jyl was my favorite DJ. It didn't matter how bad my day had been - all I had to do was tune in to WYCD, listen to that happy peppy voice, and I was instantly put in a good mood. I was so sad when I came back to Michigan for a visit, turned on my radio between seven and midnight, and found that Jyl was no longer there. I wish her all the best, and I hope she gets another great radio gig!
